Abstract

WOUND TREATMENT USING NATURAL HONEY ON DIABETIC FOOT
ULCER PATIENTS THROUGHE THE MEDIA BOOKLET

SUMMARY
Background; Diabetes mellitus is a collection of symptoms that arise in a person caused by an
increase in blood sugar levels. Kemenkes RI 2019 stated that the prevalence of diabetes mellitus
in Central Java showed a figure of 2.98%, especially in the city of Surakarta (Kemenkes RI,
2019). Complications that can occur are infection and damage to skin integrity. However, most
leg amputations are preceded by foot ulcers. One of the non-pharmacological wound treatments
from diabetic foot ulcers is using natural honey. Information regarding these wound care efforts
can be obtained through theoutput booklet. Booklets are books that contain text and images that
are easy to carry anywhere. Method;Outer KIE used in the form of booklet using honey on
wound treatment diabeticfoot ulcer . Result; The output of this final project is in the form of a
booklet the tittle of madu alami sebagai alternative perawatan luka kaki diabetik. Conclusion;
booklet Thiswas created to increase readers' knowledge about wound care using natural honey
to prevent amputation in people with diabetic foot ulcers.
