Abstract
Introduction : Smooth motor is a child's movement that uses the skill of small muscles or only a part of a particular body by allowing functions such as grasping and manipulating small objects. In Indonesia In 2012 the incidence of developmental disorders by 13-18% (Erin, 2016), Indonesian Pediatric Association (IDAI) of East Java examined 2,634 children from 0-72 months of age. The result was a developmental deviation of 34% There is a fine motor disturbance of 30% with writing and holding disorders.
Purpose : To know the difference of influence of brain gym and educative game to the fine motor development of children aged 5-6 years in Kuto village kindergarten 1 district Karanganyar.
Methods : This research uses Quasi Experimental with pretest-posttest control group design research design. Sampling with Non Probability-quota sampling technique. With a sample size of 30 people, the experimental group 1 was given a Brain gym treatment of 16 respondents and the experimental group 2 was given Educational Game treatment of 16 respondents. Analyze data with Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney.
Results : The results of the Brian gym showed a signification value of 0,000 (P <0.05), and the results of the Game Educational study with a signification result of 0.001 (P <0.05). And the difference test results influence with the result of significance 0,035 (P< 0,05).
Conclusion : There is an effect of Brain gym on the development of fine motor of children. There is an effect of giving Educational Games to fine motor development children. There is difference in the effect of Brain Gym and Educational Game on fine motor development children.
